Ceremony and Reception

5:45pm

The ceremony and reception venue is Tim McLoone’s Supper Club, located on Asbury Park’s boardwalk next to the Asbury Park Convention Hall. The reception area is the second floor (the ground floor is a restaurant with a bar and boardwalk seating if it's nice out). The address is:

Tim Mcloone's Supper Club
1200 Ocean Avenue
Asbury Park, NJ 07712

Ceremony

The ceremony will be held on the beach in front of Tim McLoone’s Supper Club (or inside in case of inclement weather). It should be about 15 minutes. There will be chairs but you will briefly have to walk on sand. If you have mobility issues, please let Heather know! We can arrange a beach wheelchair for you.

Reception

Open Bar?

Yes

Planning for avoiding being hangry:

There’s a cocktail hour immediately following the reception on the wraparound balcony (which has heat lamps if it's chilly!). The food will include passed hors d’oeuvres, crudites, cheese, bruschetta, a couple of tbd chafing dish options, a raw bar, and signature cocktails including The Grimace [composition TBD].

There is a sit-down dinner following cocktail hour with an appetizer course, a salad, and an entree, and dessert will include an ice cream sundae bar and tiny cake to cut but probably donuts in lieu of cake. There are three main entree options that you can make a gametime decision about, plus options for people with dietary restrictions (see below- you let the waiter know your order once you’re seated). The main entree options are chicken, salmon, and red snapper.

If you get too hungry at any moment, the boardwalk is full of restaurants and stands so that you can shotgun an emergency funnel cake or hotdog if necessary.

Dietary Restrictions?

You can let your waiter know that evening if you need (or would just prefer) a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal. We tested a sample vegan/gluten-free option alongside two former vegetarians and two omnivores and we all thought it was actually pretty good! You can also let your waiter know about any allergies when they take your order.

If you don't have allergies but are doing a special diet (e.g. keto or paleo), I'm inclined to think that between the cocktail hour + the various entree options we'll have you covered, but you can ask Heather if you have any additional questions.
